Bitcoin and ether ETFs log $2.6 billion in weekly inflows, strongest since October

Aug 24, 2026 · ETF

U.S. spot bitcoin and ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) took in roughly $2.6 billion in net weekly inflows over the five trading sessions through Aug. 21. That was the strongest week since October and about triple the prior week's figure, per The Block and SoSoValue data.

Bitcoin funds drew the larger share at about $1.9 billion. Spot ether ETFs added roughly $697 million. Both fund groups posted their best week of 2026.

Combined ETF assets rose more than the inflow total. They were up about $23 billion on the week. Price appreciation produced most of that gain. Bitcoin moved from near $69,000 to above $79,000 over the same period.

The influx coincided with the bitcoin rally that approached $80,000.
