BitMart is weighing a partial restart and payouts to creditors, weeks after the exchange announced it would shut down. The company has hired White & Case as restructuring counsel. A detailed restructuring roadmap is expected by Sept 9, 2026.
BitMart said in late July 2026 that it would stop operations after eight years. It has not yet published the size of any payout, the share of accounts covered, or a workable timeline beyond the Sept 9 roadmap date. The final decision is not made.
The exchange is evaluating whether part of its service can resume, and how payments to creditors could be structured. No payout amounts have been published as of Aug 22, 2026.
