Strive, a publicly traded Bitcoin treasury company, added 1,800 BTC between Aug 24-28, 2026. The outlay was about $143 million, at an average of $79,431 per bitcoin including fees, per CEO Matt Cole. That raised total holdings to 23,156 BTC from 21,356 a week earlier.
The addition moved Strive past Bullish to become the fifth-largest publicly traded corporate holder of bitcoin, by industry data.
The accumulation took place during a broader bitcoin rebound that began around Aug 19, coinciding with a US Treasury plan to expand repurchases of long-term debt. Bitcoin has gained more than 23%, reaching a recent high above $81,000. The same week, Michael Saylor's Strategy resumed accumulating bitcoin, adding 4,603 BTC at an average of $80,318.
